Wilson Previews the Upcoming Award Winning Play at Independence HS

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Wilson was at Independence High School in east Charlotte where the dedicated drama students are preparing for an encore performance of their production of The Dancers.” The play has won awards in both regional and state competions. Now the drama group will head to the Southeast Theater Conference Festival in Chattanooga, Tennessee. To raise money for the trip, the Patriot Playmakers will be performing an encore performance of the play this Friday, February 20th.
Wilson talked with students and teachers about the production and their excitement over the play and the recognition The Dancers has received. The students even performed a snippit of the play.
The encore performance of The Dancers will be this Friday night, February 20th at 7pm. Tickets are only $5 at the door.
The Independece Theater Department will also be performing Guys and Dolls beginning February 26th through the 28th before they head out to Tennessee.
Independence High School is located at 1967 Patriot Drive off of East Independence in the Mint Hill area of Charlotte.
