CHARLOTTE,  N.C. –  Wilson was at the Carolinas Chapter of the American Red Cross Center on Park Road where he was highighting the work of the Red Cross.

The Red Cross is known for blood drives and helping those after the emergency, but they also help those before the emergency happens.  Jennifer with the Red Cross talked with Wilson about the necessity of being prepared for emergencies, bad weather and even fires in your home.  From talking about smoke detectors and alarms to giving us a list of those must have items that should be in our emergency kit  the Red Cross has a lot of information to keep up safe and healthy.

With the snow, freezing rain and freezing temperatures we have had lately, has caused problem for everyone, including the Red Cross.  And they are currently are in need of blood.  Natividad Lewis with the Red Cross talked about the urgent need for blood donations.  Find out how you can help at redcross.org/nc/charlotte.
