CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Mirjana Puhar, a recent ‘America’s Next Top Model’ contestant, was killed Tuesday in a triple homicide at a home in north Charlotte.Β
CMPD confirmed Puhar is one of the 3 victims found dead in a home on Norris Avenue. Β The other victims are Jonathan Alvarado and Jusmar Gonzaga-Garcia.
Police arrested Emmanuel Rangel and charged him with three counts of murder. Β Police say the victims and the suspect knew each other and the incident was drug related. Β
Rangel is also the suspect in a homicide that happened in Matthews over the weekend. Β Police say Rangel and Edward Sanchez were both charged with murder after they killed Rosool Harrell at the Microtel on Matthews-Mint Hill Road. Β Emily Isaacs was also arrested in the case and charged with accessory after the fact.
TMZ reports a friend went into the house in north Charlotte after hearing gunshots and saw 2 bodies, Mirjana and her boyfriend, and then called police to report the killings. The friend didn’t see the 3rd victim.
19-year-old Mirjana was on the 21st cycle of ‘ANTM’ which aired last year. She was eliminated from the show in the 10th episode.Β
