Rain postpones Clemson-South Carolina baseball

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Rain has postponed the final game of Clemson and South Carolina’s yearly baseball series until Monday.

South Carolina announced the postponement of Sunday’s contest at Carolina Stadium due to inclement weather. The third game of the series will take place Monday at 4 p.m.

Clemson took the series opener 11-4 on Friday night at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. South Carolina rebounded on Saturday to tie the series after a 4-1 victory at Greenville’s Fluor Field.

The Gamecocks (7-2) have won 14 of the past 18 games with the Tigers (6-3) and are trying to win the regular-season series for the fifth straight year.
