CHARLOTTE, N.C. –  Again this year, Wilson is helping everyone with Hands on Charlotte get geared up for the year’s big day.  Today he was at Sugar Creek Brewing to give us a preview of this year’s Hands on Charlotte Day , an annual day of service and volunteering with non-profit groups in the community.

Hands on Charlotte Day is on Saturday, April 18th and is Charlotte’s participation in National Volunteer Week which runs from April 12th through the 18th.

From helping deliver Friendship Trays to those who cannot prepare meals for themselves, working at the Raptor Center and preparing books for children, there are a lot of ways you can volunteer in your community.

Today is the first day that volunteers can register for Hands on Charlotte Day.  Go to their website at handsoncharlotte.org and register to volunteer today!

Some of the non-profit organizations that will be participating in Hands on Charlotte Day who talked with Wilson are:

Friendship Trays

Carolina Raptor Center

Second Harvest Food Bank

Promising Pages

Some of the partners working to provide support for Hands on Charlotte Day are:
