CHARLOTTE, N.C. –  Wilson was at Ardrey Kell High School early this morning where he was helping students there kick off today’s blood drive for the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas

This is not the first time that these great students have come together to help the center.  They have teamed up with the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas frequently thorughout the years.  Wilson talked with students who explained why they feel it is important not only to donate blood, but to also host a blood drive.

The blood center’s bus arrived at the school, the drive has begun and it will continue until 11:30am this morning.  Wilson was on the bus with some of the great kids that are donating today.  Fun fact…students account for 25% of the blood supply.  So, let’s help them out.

Community Blood Center of the Carolinas is a independent, locally managed,  non-profit blood center that is the primary blood supplier to the area’s hospitals.  The center is in need of blood and would like your help.  If your business, church, school or organization would like to host a drive, get all of the information at the center’s website cbcc.us.  If you just want to find a location where you can donate, the website will have that information as well.
