LOS ANGELES (AP) — The top two seeds in the West Regional of the NCAA Tournament will square off Saturday for the right to advance to the Final Four in Indianapolis. Last night, No. 1 Wisconsin beat North Carolina 79-72 while Arizona dumped Xavier 68-60.

UNDATED (AP) — In East Regional play of the NCAA Tournament tonight, North Carolina State is playing Louisville while Oklahoma goes against Michigan State. South Regional action this evening is in Houston with UCLA playing Gonzaga (gahn-ZAG’-uh) and Duke meeting Utah. The winners advance to the regional final Sunday with the winners moving on to the Final Four.

MARTINSVILLE, Va. (AP) — The qualifying for Sunday’s STP 500 Sprint Cup race in Martinsville, Virginia, is taking place today. Kevin Harvick is off to the best start of the season with a second place finish last week after back to back victories. He has four victories and four second-place finishes in his last eight races.

UNDATED (AP) — Second round play is on tap today in the PGA and LPGA events being held respectively in San Antonio and Carlsbad, California. For the men, Charley Hoffman completed first round play yesterday with the lead, while for the women the leader is Mirim Lee.
