Concord Man Receives Additional Charges For Helping Teen Girl Run Away

SALISBURY, N.C. — The Rowan County Sheriff’s department has filed additional charges against Philip Michael Goodman, who was originally charged with Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor for helping a 15-year-old girl run away from home.

Authorities are now charging Goodman, 29 of Concord, with SecondΒ Degree Kidnapping and two counts of Soliciting a Minor by Computer, all of which are felonies.

According to warrants issued for Goodman, he and the juvenile communicated via Skype, and made arrangements for Goodman, knowing the victim was 15 years of age, to pick the victim up and commit an unlawful sexual act.

Goodman was given an additional $25,000 secured bond and remains in the Rowan County Detention Center.
