Two Huntersville Teens Arrested For Arson

CORNELIUS, N.C. — Police have charged two Huntersville teens with arson following an incident that occurred at Bailey Road Park in Cornelius.

T’Elgin Kelly-Eisom,18, and 16-year-old Tyler Beal were arrested and charged with One Felony Count of Burning a Public Building.

The Mecklenburg Count Assistant Fire Marshall determined the fire was intentional and resulted in an estimated $2,000 in damages.

Police responded to a report of damage in the women’s restroom at Bailey Road Park on March 30th.Β  According to reports, they encountered a broken paper towel dispenser, burnt debris, and damage to the bathroom floor as a result of the fire.

Officers were able to identify the suspects using surveillance video. The girls were seen leaving the bathroom with a cloud of smoke emanating form the bathroom.Β  Kelly-Eisom and Beal were subsequently arrested on April 1st.
