HUNTERSVILLE, NC — CMS Superintendent Ann Clark is taking her billion dollar budget proposal to the people.  Clark hosted the first of three community meetings at Hopewell High in Huntersville Thursday night.

She discussed the budget with employees, parents and concerned citizens–especially the need to give employees a raise.

“I’m excited to hear that they are working on the salaries for teachers, because I think they are generally underpaid.  And we’ve got to correct that,” said Cornelius resident Jim McLean.

The next community meeting is scheduled for April 27 at Vance High School.  The school board votes on the budget in May, then sends it to County Commissioners.
