CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Today, for the 6th year, Ballantyne Corporate Park will hold their annual Earth Day event.  And again this year, Wilson was with them to get the day kicked off.

In honor of Earth Day their event brings together business and organizations that support recycling to further their sustainable efforts.  Wilson talked with employees and volunteers who work with some of these organizations.

Shredding begins at 9am today and continues until 1:30pm.  From 11:30am until 1:30pm, stop in for lunch with either the Roaming Fork or the Maryland Crab Co. food truck .  The event will also include vendors and music thanks to 104.7.

Check out  go-ballantyne.com for a full list of items that can be shredded and items they cannot take.  Just drive through and drop off those items you want shredded to make sure you want your ID safe and secure.  Old electronics such as computers can also be dropped off for recycling.
