CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — The Carolina Panthers announced they’ve signed 10 undrafted rookie free agents following this past weekend’s NFL draft. The players, along with the team’s five draft picks, are expected to participate in the team’s rookie minicamp which begins Friday.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson believes he won’t miss a beat despite sitting out all spring after knee ligament surgery. And the Tigers most dynamic player insists he’ll return at full speed once he’s cleared to cut loose this summer.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — Former Clemson guard Shelbie Davenport is transferring to Chattanooga. Chattanooga announced Davenport’s move yesterday. Davenport will sit out the 2015-16 season due to NCAA transfer rules. Davenport averaged 8.6 points, 3.2 rebounds in 28 minutes a game for Clemson last season as a freshman.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Longtime South Carolina track assistant Delethea Quarles was named the head coach for the U.S. women’s track and field team to compete in the world championships in China this summer. Quarles is a former heptathlete who’s spent the past 18 years on the staff of Gamecocks head track coach Curtis Frye.
