CHICAGO (AP) β The Stanley Cup Finals have shifted to Chicago for tonight’s third game. The best of seven series is tied at 1-1 after Anaheim’s win in Game 2. The fourth game will be in Chicago Wednesday night.
WINNIPEG (AP) β World Cup play starts for the U.S. women tonight in Winnipeg. The American squad is facing Australia in a Group D match. The U.S., which lost to Japan four years ago, has won the Women’s World Cup twice.
PARIS (AP) β There was a big surprise in Paris yesterday as Novak Djokovic (JOH’-koh-vihch) was upset in the men’s title match of the French Open. The top-seed was beaten by No. 8 Stan Wawrinka (vah-VRINK’-ah), 4-6, 6-3, 6-3, 6-4. The outcome put an end to Djokovic’s 28-match winning streak and keeps him stuck on eight Grand Slam titles.
UNDATED (AP) β The winners in auto racing yesterday were Lewis Hamilton and Martin Truex Jr. Hamilton crossed the finish line first in the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix while Truex won the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Pocono Raceway by leading 97 of the 160 laps.
