NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Nine-year-old Kristen Barrick stumbled upon two rarities in the same weekend near Cherry Grove Pier.
Last weekend, Barrick came across two teeth from a Megalodon, which was the largest shark that ever lived at a length of 40 to 60 feet and a weight of up to 100 tons.
Since sharks shed teeth regularly, it is not uncommon to find their teeth along the coast. However, finding two ancient, enormous Megalodon teeth in one weekend is not a common occurrence.
According to WSMV-TV, Barrick plans on keeping the teeth and even looking for more.
