NEWTON, N.C. — A Lenoir man who pleaded guilty to First Degree Rape of a Child and Indecent Liberties with a child has been sentenced to serve 12-19 years in prison.
Jerry Darryl Hamilton, 52, was arrested in August of 2013 and will be forced to register as a sex offender.
The offenses took place with a nine-year-old victim and her older sister while they were under the care of their biological grandmother and the defendant’s step grandfather.
