CHARLOTTE, N. C. – If you just can’t wait until the Carolina Panthers hit the field at Bank of America Stadium to kick off football season, Wilson has just the fix you need. This Saturday night you can take in some friendly, yet fierce, competition between the Charlotte Cobras and the San Diego Enforces playing for the NPSFL Championship.
Wilson was with the Charlotte Cobras as Providence Day School where the team is getting in final workouts before the game this week. The Cobras are just one of teams that make up the National Public Safety Football League. The NPSL is comprised of public safety agency football teams throughout the United States, that have come together to promote a positive self-image to the public by raising funds for charity while hitting the gridiron.
The Charlotte Cobras have been a part of the NPSL and have donated over $85,000 to local charities.
In 2014 the Charlotte Cobras fell short of winning the championship but they are determined this year to bring their trophy home. Kick off for the championship game will be at 4:00pm Saturday, June 20th at Providence Day School, 5800 Sardis Road in Charlotte. For ticket information as well as more information on the Charlotte Cobras check out their website charlottecobrasfootball.org.
