Man Charged After Train Hits Jeep Near Thermal Road Monday Morning

CHARLOTTE, NC — Police say Justin Alexander, 20, has been charged in connection to a train versus vehicle accident that occurred yesterday morning near Thermal Road, Charlotte.

Around 5am Monday morning, Alexander illegally drove a 2000 Jeep Cherokee onto the property of CSX Transportation. The Jeep got stuck on the tracks about 100 yards from the nearest road, and was later struck by a CSX train.
