
LINCOLNTON , N.C. — On Tuesday, the Lincoln County SWAT raided two homes in reaction to an investigation linking the residents to a series of nearby armed robberies.
During the investigation, the Lincolnton Police Department learned the suspects had been convicted of prior violent crimes and were linked to gang activity. Due to this information, the Lincolnton Police with help of the County’s SWAT team raided both homes and found evidence linking Reginald Lee Forney to the robberies. Also, $800 worth of crack cocaine was seized as well.
Forney was formally charged with four counts of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, one count of Extortion, two counts of Assault by Pointing a Gun, one count of Possession of Crack Cocaine, and one count of Maintaining a Dwelling for Controlled Substance. Forney was placed in Lincoln County Jail and received a $105,000 bond.
