CHARLOTTE, NC — We’re waiting to hear if more charges will be filed against the man accused of running over a teen with his boat on Lake Norman, killing her in the process.

49-year-old Keith Cerven is charged with boating while intoxicated.  He’s already bonded out of jail. Authorities say Cerven was driving a pontoon boat Saturday night when he ran over 17-year-old Sheyenne Marshall.  She was kneeboarding on the lake.

Students at Cox Mill High School held a vigil for Marshall Sunday night.  They say they now have to rally together to move forward.

“We just want to do our best to show Sheyenne as much love as we can now, because that’s the way she lived her life, loving all of us.”

Police say Sheyenne was celebrating the Fourth of July on the lake with friends.
