Police: Cat Shot In Southeast Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating after a a pet cat was shot from close range in southeast Charlotte.

Investigators say the 7-year-old cat was found laying in her owner’s front yard with an obvious leg injury.Β 

The owner rushed the cat to a local animal hospital. Β An x-ray revealed the cat had been shot with a .22 caliber gun.

The cat’s leg had to be amputated. Β Police are investigating and no arrests have been made at this time.
