CHARLOTTE, N.C. — San Antonio Spurs’ player blames his upgrade to the newest version of Apple’s iPhone to be the cause for his decline in shooting percentage.
Bonner is a 6’10 power forward who is known as a 3-point specialist, averaging 41.4% in his career from behind the arc. This past season, Bonner only made 36.5% of his 3-point shots. Bonner sustained an injury on his left elbow called ‘Tennis Elbow,’ in which the overuse of arm, forearm, and even hand muscles cause elbow pains.
In an interview with the Concord Monitor on Sunday, Bonner revealed his issues with his new phone. βEverybody is going to find this hilarious, but hereβs my theory on how I got [Tennis Elbow],β Bonner added. βWhen the new iPhone came out it was way bigger than the last one, and I think because I got that new phone it was a strain to use it, you have to stretch further to hit the buttons, and I honestly think thatβs how I ended up developing it.β
It is unknown whether Bonner has the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus.
