GASTONIA, NC– Gastonia Police say a homeless man was assaulted and sent to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
Reports say around 11 p.m Monday, July 6th an aggravated assault was reported on West Garrison Boulevard.
Police say the victim was, Fletcher Harold Campbell, 78, who was reportedly beaten with a piece of cinder block and transported to Caromont Regional Medical Center with severe injuries to his face.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 704-842-5123, there is a $1,000 reward for information leading to arrests.
