CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Taylor Swift generously donated $50,000 to one of her fans battling Leukemia.
Naomi Oakes, an 11 year old girl, is battling aggressive cancer, causing her family to create a GoFundMe page to help pay for her medical expenses. Naomi posted this video trying to get Swift’s attention:
The attempt worked and Swift donated, along with delivering this message:Β “To the beautiful and brave Naomi, I’m sorry you have to miss it, but there will always be more concerts. Let’s focus on getting you feeling better. I’m sending the biggest hugs to you and your family.”
Β Upon receving Swift’s message, the Oakes family uploaded this video of Naomi’s uplifting reaction:

So far, the GoFundMe page has received more than $72,000 worth of donations from over 400 people, over twice its initial intent of $30,000.
