
LINCOLNTON, N.C. — Β Two Lincoln County men have been arrested following a surveillance operation that led to the discovery of Methamphetamine and Heroin.Β
Alex Forrest Moore was arrested on Thursday and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Heroin. Jon Clayton Willet was also arrested and charged with Common Law Robbery and Felony Possession of Stolen Goods.
Authorities say that citizen complaints about possible drug activity led to the surveillance of residences at 308 S. Poplar Street and 714 Lithia Inn Road in Lincolnton, where Moore and Willet were known to inhabit.
During the search of the properties, officers discovered approximately 33 grams of Methamphetamine and one gram of Heroin. Β The estimated street value of the narcotics is $1,600. Also, officers discovered evidence from a robbery case in which WIllet was a suspect, and connected him to the crime.Β
Both men were transported to the Lincoln County Jail and are scheduled to make first appearances Friday.Β
