LANCASTER, S.C. — Mitchell Kelly has been arrested on 3 counts of Trafficking Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Violent Felon, and Possession of a Stolen Handgun.
The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the FBI, has been conducting an undercover operation since the beginning of the year in order to make this arrest. Undercover agents say they were able to buy cocaine from Kelly and obtained a warrant to search his home, where they allegedly found large amounts of cocaine, a handgun, and ammunition.
Kelly remains in the Lancaster County Detention Center where his bond has been denied. Due to the FBI’s collaboration, Kelly will also be served federal warrants for drug trafficking and weapons charges.
