Officials Looking For Suspects After Third Monroe Homicide This Year

MONROE, NC– Police are looking into a homicide that left one man dead in Monroe last week.

Officers say they received a disturbance call on Pine Street around 3 a.m. Sunday, July 19th.

Upon arrival, police located Edwin Tafolla, who was found dead in the yard from an apparent gunshot wound.

This is the third reported homicide that has occurred in the city this year and police say it’s the second this month.

Monroe Police are searching for suspects or anyone with information about the incident.

Authorities say they arrested Jadis Cole on July 20th for the murder of Carroll Griffin, who was shot on E. Hudson St, five minutes away from the shooting on Pine Street.
