Iron Station Man Arrested On Trafficking Opium Charges

LINCOLNTON, N.C. — Police say an Iron Station man was arrested for trafficking opium.  Investigators say 42-year-old William Young sold opiate-based prescription medication to undercover officers.  

Young has been charged with trafficking opium by possession, trafficking opium by sell, trafficking opium by delivery and maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance.

Young was taken before a Lincoln County magistrate where his bond was set at $56,000.
