CHARLOTTE, NC – On the final day of Wilson’s Water Safety Week he returned to The Simmons YMCA in east Charlotte.
Wilson was with kids and their Mom’s at the Y’s pool where they were learning simple and inexpensive ways to help keep the kids safe. Danielle Rader, the Aquatics Director with the Y joined Wilson again today to help wrap up the week. Danielle’s final tip for Water Safety Week was how to help a child that may have fallen into a pool and could possibly be drowning.
The YMCA’s swimming saves lives programs goes around to 6 different apartment complexes during the summer where free of charge, kids can come out to the pool to learn water safety as well as learn how to swim.
To find our more about the YMCA of Greater Charlotte swim classes and their push to get more kids to learn how to swim check out their website ymcacharlotte.org/SwimmingSavesLives. The Y is always looking for donors to help with the program.
