CHARLOTTE, N. C. – Wilson was back with his adopted soccer team FC Sparta Charlotte this morning.  He was visiting with the club after their return from their recent trip to Gothenburg, Sweden to participate in the 2015 Gothia Cup known as the Youth World cup.  Wilson talked with some of the kids that were able to go overseas, some for the first time to find out what they enjoyed about the trip.

Wilson was surprised when he was presented with a mock-up of what the team’s new jerseys will look like.  The jersey will include a Wilson’s World logo!  This is the team’s thank you to Wilson for his support of the team.

Both boys and girls participate in the soccer club.  And and now, the girls are gaining on the guys as they continue to build and grow the girl’s team.  FC Sparta Charlotte is made up of all kids from all walks of life.  And these kids don’t have to pay to play,  but this only happens thanks to team sponsors.

Brian Hunt with Dewey, Ramsey & Hunt joined Wilson on the soccer field to present a check to FC Sparta to help sponsor the team.  But the soccer club is always in need of sponsors.  To find out how you can help sponsor the club or if you want to find out more about how your child can participate, go to their website fcspartacharlotte.com.

FC Sparta Charlotte will be holding a car wash on Saturday, August 29th at Advance Auto Parts, 6503 Wilkinson Blvd in Belmont, N.C.   The car wash runs from 8am until 4pm.
