CHARLOTTE, N.C. – It’s a big event for the girls of the Girl Scouts of the Hornet’s Nest Council today as they gear up for their annual recruitment drive. Wilson joined a group of these great young ladies at Concord Mills today where they are taking over the mall to reach more girls who would like to be a Girl Scout.
Wilson found out that being a Girl Scout is much more than just cookies and fun. These girls are smart, sharp and ready to learn. Girl Scouts range in age from kindergarten to twelfth grade and participate in activities that range from camping and outdoor activities to science projects and crafts. And where there is camping, there will be smores…and these girls can make the perfect smore…as Wilson found out.
Beginning today the Girl Scouts, Hornet’s Nest Council is holding their big Rock the Mall recruitment drive. The Scouts will be at Concord Mills to talk with other girls about joining the Girl Scouts and being a part of something very special. The event begins at 10am today and runs during the mall business hours through Sunday night, August 16th. There will be face painting, prizes and giveaways. Stop by and find out more about the Girl Scouts and this great group of girls!
