CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detectives and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have arrested and charged multiple people for their alleged involvement in a series of armed robberies and shootings.
The individuals charged are A’jare Dean, 16, Shahquan Cureton, 19, Dequan Cureton, 17, Devonte Crawford, 18, Tryshon Herron, 17, Ricky Bennett, 17, and Te’Asia Oliphant, 19. According to reports, the group has committed multiple crimes around the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area, including armed robbery, carjacking, and physical assault.
Officers say they responded to a shooting on August 24th which led to a vehicle pursuit, resulting in the multiple arrests.
