CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Wilson was at BB&T Ballpark early today where he was previewing this Saturday’s big baseball game between the officers of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Blue Hornets and firemen of the Charlotte Fire Department. He was joined at the ballpark with guys from both teams as well as CMPD’s Blue and CFD’s Blaze. Apparently Blue and Blaze have a lot riding on this game.
The 5th annual event this Saturday, September 26th is friendly battle for bragging rights for the Chief’s Cup. The Chief’s Cup is a fun event between the officers of the CMPD and fire fighters of CFD to raise funds for Levine’s Children’s Hospital as well as the bragging rights for owning the Cup for the next year.
Tickets for the charity event are only $5 and can be purchased online at charlottebluehornets.org or at the gate. Gates will open up at 5:30pm with first pitch at 6:30pm. Bring the kids and come out to help the kids at Levine Children’s Hospital and enjoy a little end of summer baseball and a lot of fun between some of Charlotte’s finest officers and fire fighters. Also, bring out a new medium sized stuffed animal to donate for the kids at Levine.
