Attempted Child Luring Incidents In Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police reported two recent incidents of suspects attempting to lure children into vehicles.

 
On September 17th, officers say they responded to an enticing a juvenile call on Hidden Valley Road. According to reports, a 10-year-old boy was walking home from the school bus stop when a burgundy SUV, occupied by a black male and a black female, pulled up next to him.  
 
The subjects allegedly asked the boy if he wanted candy and stated that they were there to pick him up. The boy reportedly ran away from the vehicle and the subjects drove away. 
 
On Tuesday, September 22nd, a 16-year-old female victim reported that a male had attempted to lure her into his vehicle and, when she did not comply, attempted to grab her.  
 
The female ran to safety and the suspect fled the area, according to reports.  
 
The male suspect is described as a heavy set black male with yellowish skin and a chipped tooth. Reports say he is approximately 45 years old and bald, last seen driving a bright red Infiniti vehicle.
