Body Of Child Found At Bottom Of Pool

A sad ending in the search of a toddler who went missing in Lenoir.

Police found the body of the two-year-old shortly after the search began.

“I came to the door I thought it was my neighbor,” says next door neighbor Robert Bohler.

Instead, it was Sheriff Deputies asking Robert Bohler to help look for a missing two-year-old.

“I got a gator we went up the ridge, we looked for him and didn’t hear any crying any whimpering anything like that,” said Bowler.

Bohler’s home on Abbington Road is just next door to the missing child, and after an hour of searching these woods: “I kind of walked down the driveway walked to my neighbors house I seen the fire truck pumping the pool.”

It was there the Caldwell County Sheriff Office says they found the two-year-old’s body at the bottom of the family’s pool.

“I heard a woman scream and they found the little boy, it’s a terrible situation.”

It was covered in algae, making it hard to find the child. Bohler’s brother once owned the home.
“Deputy told me they were twins and it was just ahh, one of the twins,” says Bohler.

A fact that Deputies have confirmed.

“I have grandchildren too , it be rough, have no idea what that woman going through,”  Bohler says.
