Wilson Visits CMPD and CFD to Talk with Female First Responders

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Wilson was with members of Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department and Charlotte Fire Department today at the Charlotte Police & Training Academy Facility where he found that they are looking for a few good women.  This weekend the CMPD and CFD will be holding a Female First Responders open house where they will showcase the opportunities that are available for women as part of the first responders family.

The Female First Reponders Open House will be this Saturday, October 3rd from 10am until 2pm.  Women who are interested in a career with various first responder agencies can directly interact with  recruiting and training staff members from the CFD, CMPD, MEDIC, NC Highway Patrol, Mecklenburg Co. Sheriff’s Dept and various military branches.  In addition, specialists and recruiters for non-sworn positions (communications, crime scene, etc.) will be available.
