Checking Out the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus with Wilson

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A few years ago the Wilson gave us our first look at the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus when it came through Charlotte.  But today was different.  The bus made a stop at Cuthbertson High School in Waxhaw today where the talented musicians at the school were able to record a song that they had written themselves.

Wilson talked with some of kids at Cuthbertson High that are getting the opportunity to pick up the instruments and get behind the controls of the equipment inside the bus to bring to life the song they created.  He also talked with teachers who discussed the importance of music education and how much they enjoy working with these kids through their middle and high school years.

The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus is a non-profit state of the art mobile audio and video recording and production facility.  It tours the country 10 months out of the year to provide young people the opportunity to learn more about music and video creation and production.  The tour bus is made possible by many foundations, one of which is NAMM (National Association of Music Management).  Cuthbertson High was one of the many schools chosen by the NAMM foundation through their program to get the visit from the tour bus.

You can check out Cuthbertson High School on their Facebook page and check out their postings from today’s John Lennon Tour Bus stop and their visit with Wilson’s World HERE.
