Five Suspected Bloods Plead Guilty in Relation to Lake Wylie Couple’s Murder

LAKE WYLIE, SC — Friday marks one year since police found Debbie and Doug London shot to death at the front door of their home.

Tuesday, new details emerged in the case of the Lake Wylie couple’s murder in October 2014.

Five suspected members of the Blood gang have pleaded guilty to their roles leading up to the killing.

Federal prosecutors indicted them and seven others in an April 2015 gang raid.

The federal court documents contain new details on the gang structure and make it seem like members are snitching on each other.

22-year-old David “Flames” Fudge of Pineville was the last of the five to plead guilty Tuesday.

Prosecutors say the murder was set into motion when Jamell Cureton ordered the hit from jail.

They say Cureton, Fudge and Nana Adoma robbed the family’s mattress store in Pineville in May 2014.

Informants say Cureton wanted to keep Doug from testifying against him.

Five months after the robbery, investigators say Briana Johnson drove Malcom Hartley to the couple’s home.

Documents revealed Tuesday that Hartley shot Debbie first in the face when she answered his knock, then shot Doug in the face, chest and back.

Documents get so specific as to say someone told prosecutors Hartley wore blue latex gloves to carry the gun and cleaned each bullet with a red bandanna before the shooting.

He and Johnson were not among the group of plea deals Tuesday.

Rahkeem McDonald, Centrilla Leach, Ibn Kornegay, Daquan Everett and Fudge admitted their roles: from the robbery to helping organize the murders.

We also learned most of the suspects are unranked Bloods, or “Scraps“.

Cureton was the highest ranking member, called a “Five Star General“.

Whether he and the others are going to plea, prosecutors won’t say.

Prosecutors and defense attorneys had no comment Tuesday.

A judge will sentence the five at a later date.
