Domestic Violence Memorial Tree Lighting
CHARLOTTE, NC — An effort to raise awareness about domestic violence in North Carolina.
CMPD hosted the 11th Annual Memorial Tree Lighting ceremony CMPD headquarters in Uptown Tuesday night. The lighting honors the 45 North Carolinians who died this year because of domestic violence.
“That’s all we all can do, is bring awareness to domestic violence, and it has to stop somewhere,” said Loretta Caldwell, who attended the ceremony.
The tree will be on display through January 2.
