Mostly cloudy skies are expected Friday as a weak disturbance moves through the area, highs in the low 40s. Mountain areas will see scattered snow showers Friday into Friday night with 1-2 inches of snow possible. In Charlotte, scattered flurries are possible, but no accumulation is expected. Quiet and frigid conditions are expected over the weekend, with highs in the 30s and overnight lows dropping into the teens. We continue to monitor our next storm, which will arrive Monday and move out of the area early Tuesday. At this point, wintry weather is possible early Monday before warmer air overspreads the area and changes most of the wintry mix to a cold rain late Monday into early Tuesday. We will continue to update this forecast as the storm approaches; a slight shift in the storm’s track will have major impacts on the exact details for our area.
