CMS And Carowinds Join For New Reading Initiative

Charlotte, N.C. — The Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools’ Family Engagement Office and Carowinds have teamed up to promote literacy, and underscore the importance of reading with the Roller Coaster Reading Club.

Carowinds associates visited Sterling and Steele Creek Elementary Schools last week to read books with first through third graders. Each participating student will receive a bookmark with a coupon valid for one free Junior admission to Carowinds during the 2016 season. Members of the Peanuts gang will also be present encouraging children to read.
