Dozens Gather In Uptown For Transgender Support Rally

CHARLOTTE, NC– Tonight a loud, but peaceful show of support for Charlotte’s Transgender community.

Dozens gathered in Uptown to recognize International Transgender Day of Visibility, which is today.

Demonstrators held signs and chanted in protest of North Carolina’s HB2 Law which requires transgender people to use the public restrooms of their biological sex.

“We want to be visible in the most positive way possible, to show everyone we’re human beings trying to live out lives just like everyone else,” said Lara Nazario.
