KANNAPOLIS, NC (WCCB Charlotte) — There are long nights in front of the television awaiting Jeff and Jody Seager.
The two are proud parents of three professional baseball player–all three playing on the west coast.
Oldest son Kyle begins his sixth season with the Mariners, the youngest Corey played in his first opening day with the LA Dodgers and the middle child, Justin, will start the season in Double-A for the Mariners.
The parents, who traveled to Arizona during spring break to watch their three sons play during spring training, had to make sure to pack proper fan attire as to not give an allegiance to one of their children over another.
“We have a Dodgers shirt and a Mariners shirt and we’ll change in the middle of the day,” Jody Seager said with a smile. “God forbid you cross them or they would let us know.”
Kyle Seager opened the season with a solo home-run in his first at-bat while Corey hit an RBI double off the wall.
The Seager family will be featured on Sunday’s edition of Got Game airing at 10:35 on WCCB-TV.
