Wilson’s World: Pop-Up Theater in South End

The Charlotte Art League in South End opens up for a pop-up theater production of "The Taming."

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – We’ve heard of pop-up markets, but today Wilson was at the Charlotte Art League to introduce us to pop-up theater.

Located on Camden Road in Historic South End, the Charlotte Art League is well known in the Charlotte area for the wonderful art work that adorns the walls in their building.  But they have teamed up with Donna Scott Productions to bring art alive with their current pop up theater.

The Taming is a political comedy loosely based on Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew.  The show centers around Miss Georgia who is not only a beauty queen, but is also a woman with political ambitions.  Performances of the play run Wednesday through Sundays through April 16th.  For more information on the play click HERE.  For ticket info go to carolinatix.org.
