Wilson’s World: Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Midwood Maynia
It is 25 years of Midwood Maynia so Wilson stops by to see what Plaza-Midwood has in store for the big celebration.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The residents of Plaza-Midwood open up their neighborhood and their homes this weekend to celebrate 25 years of Midwood Maynia. Homeowners got up early to welcome Wilson into their homes to give us a look at how they celebrate their unique and historic neighborhood.
Some of these comfy bungaloos have been in families for generations. Wilson talked with the owners of one of these homes Adam and Erin Morgan. The Morgan’s daughter Minnie will be the 4th generation to have lived in the Plaza-Midwood home.
The event kicks off on on Friday with a candlelight home tour and continues Saturday with Maynia Day events including a 5K road race at 8am, pet parades and additional home tours. The party also includes beverages, food trucks, music and lots of fun. Just some of the participants are Legion Brewing, Plated Palette Food Truck, Charlotte B-Cycle and Cruise Cart. From 12:30pm until 7pm enjoy music with Sophie Teague, Chris Holder, Ancient Cities and Funk Rush.
