CHARLOTTE, N.C. –  Wilson was with volunteers and workers with Purple Heart Homes to find out how everyone is connected to a military veteran.  John Gallina and Dale Beatty, co-founders of Purple Heart Homes joined Wilson in Uptown to remind us that we all are connected to a military veteran in some way.

One company partnering with Purple Heart Homes is AT&T who has been making a push to hire military veterans for the company through their “20,000 Veterans by 2020” hiring mission.  Josh Gelinas talked about the mission and how veterans can connect with AT&T regarding jobs.  Veterans who would like to find out more about AT&T’s “20,000 by 2020” mission and jobs available  should go to their website at att.jobs/doing-great-things/military.

While with the group today, Wilson also presented his latest Wilson’s Moment of Good award to Tim Parker, a long-time supporter and volunteer with Purple Heart Homes.

Purple Heart Homes was founded by veterans, for veterans.  With the help of the community, they work to ensure quality of life housing for  disabled American Veterans of all ages and eras.  To find out more about Purple Heart Homes, to donate or volunteer go to their website at www.purplehearthomesusa.org.
