Wilson’s World: Previewing Urban Ministry Center HousingFest 2016

Concert to help end homelessness to be held this Saturday, May 28th at The Fillmore Charlotte.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. –  Wilson was at The Fillmore this morning to preview the upcoming HousingFest that will be held there this Saturday.  The musical event brings together music and music fans to help raise funds to help fight homelessness.  While finding out more about the event, Justin Fedor,  and Jimmy Brown with Matrimony two of the events’ entertainers gave a sneak preview of their performances on Saturday.

The Urban Ministry Center created HousingFest in 2014 to bring together music fans to enjoy great music while supporting the Urban Ministry Center’s many initiatives to help the chronic homeless in the Charlotte area.  The price of one ticket will help shelter a homeless person for one night.

The event begins at 4pm on Saturday and runs until 11pm.  The lineup of musicians will feature Josh Ritter, Nikki Hill Band, Matrimony, Lindi Ortega, Jim Lauderdale and Justin Fedor.  There will also be food trucks and beverages at the event.

Purchase tickets, or get more information on the event at housingfest.org.  To find out more about the Urban Ministry Center and how you can help to end homeless go to their website urbanministrycenter.org.
