The chance for showers and thunderstorms will increase late Saturday night through Sunday. Moisture from the tropical storm Bonnie off the South Carolina coast may reach our area early Sunday. This system seems to already be taking a turn to the Northwest, which would mean less rain in the forecast for the Charlotte area and more stable conditions for the Coca-cola 600 on Sunday. Showers are still possible Sunday evening through Memorial Day with temperatures in the low to mid 80’s.

Sunday: Cloudy with showers and thunderstorms. Humid and warm. Light winds. High 79. N 9 mph.

Sunday night: Mostly cloudy. Chance of a shower/thunderstorm. Mild. Low 64. NE 5-7 mph.

Memorial Day: Partly sunny. Chance for showers and thunderstorms. Warm and humid. High 84. N 5 mph.
