In The Wake Of Violence, Shelby Holds Rally
SHELBY, NC– “To know she’s here is , just make me feel so good, it’s the best feeling I ever had.” said Shadayla Odoms.
Dressed in a tutu and tiara, 4 year old Aryanna Odoms was the star of Shelby’s Stop The Violence Rally, after surviving being shot.
“It’s awesome; it’s huge we just actually watched God work it out.” said Aryanna’s Grandmother, Bridget.
Last Monday, Aryanna was asleep in her home on Toms Street just around the corner from Jefferson Park where the rally was held, when a stray bullet came into the home and hit her in her side. Her grandmother says it’s been a struggle for the family.
“Hard, very hard…life changing ”
But little Aryanna has recovered enough to be here with a smile and to march around the block where the shooting happened.
Shelby Police cooked food for the community.
“Any shooting is bad, but when you involve a child, an innocent child a senseless act like this it is a game changer ”
Now they have miracle who is inspiring a whole city to come together and stop the violence.
“It’s a really good feeling it is , it’s nice to know they can come out and support her like this” said Aryanna’s mother.
