Wilson’s World: Getting a Lesson in Shopping for Style at the new GW Specialty Store
Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont Opens its new GW speciality store on Wednesday.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – If you are a shopper looking for trendy and chic at an affordable price, today Wilson has found just the place for you. He was at Goodwill of the Southern Piedmont’s new GW specialty store which opens to the public tomorrow.
Whitley Hamlin of Queen City Style joined Wilson at the store this morning to get a pre-opening look at some of the high end fashions offered at Goodwill prices. The GW store was originally introduced to Charlotte in the EpiCentre as a pop-up market. The response was so great that they decided to open a permanent location. GW offers designer and brand name women’s and men’s apparel, jewelry, accessories, shoes and home decor at very affordable prices.
Wilson also visited Second Editions, the Goodwill outlet store where items are marked to bottom dollar and clothing is sold by the pound and other items are 50% off. The Second Editions outlet is located next door to GW in a former Goodwill outlet store.
On June 23rd the Community Table, the bistro at the GW will be opening for hungry shoppers. It will be serving breakfast and lunch from 6:30am until 3pm. Proceeds from the bistro help fund job training programs while the bistro provides good food at an affordable price. Wilson will be coming back to the Community Table for its opening later this month.
The new GW specialty store located at 5301 Wilkinson Blvd in Charlotte will hold its grand opening on Wednesday, June 8th from 9am until 11am. The regular hours for GW as well as the Second Editions outlet store will be 9am until 9pm Monday through Saturday and on Sundays from 10am until 7pm.
Purchases at both the GW specialty store and the Second Edition outlet store help fund Goodwill’s mission of job training and employment services free of charge to individuals with barriers to employment.
