Wilson’s World: Celebrating the Last Day of School at Lake Wylie Elementary
Today is the last day of school for students of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The two most exciting days for kids at school are the first and the last days. Wilson was with the kids at Lake Wylie Elementary on their first day of this school year, so today he was back there to visit with the kids on their last day of school.
Before he interrupted their awards ceremony program Wilson welcomed both kids and teachers as they arrived for the morning. Mrs. Rankin, a teacher at Lake Wylie, joined Wilson to talk about her last day. After 30 years of teaching she is retiring.
Once inside the awards ceremony Wilson took over. He enjoyed talking with the kids about how they plan on spending their summer.
